Colossians so far: I am thankful for the way the Gospel is at work in the world (Col 1:1-8), so I am praying for God’s will to be done in the church (Col 1:9-14), which is all about Jesus, because He is sovereign God (Col 1:15-20) who reconciled us and made us perfect (Col 1:21-23), giving us the ministry of proclaiming Him (Col 1:24-29), and a burden to see the church succeed (Col 2:1-7), by avoiding false teaching (Col 2:8-10), because Jesus provided a total victory in your salvation (Col 2:11-15), so don‘t let people bully you into trying to add to Jesus (Col 2:16-23). Therefore, keep your mind on things in heaven (Col 3:1-4)...
I am ruthless towards sin:
- Because sin can Destroy my life (Col 3:5)
- Because sin is the reason God’s Wrath is coming (Col 3:6)
- Because sin defines who I Was, not who I Am (Col 3:7)
- Because sin can destroy my Community (Col 3:8-11)
2 Corinthians 4:16 - Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day.
